This article explains how to turn Sunmi payment devices from production mode to debug mode.
Once the device has been turned to debug mode, it will NOT be able turned back to production mode.
Step 1: Send the device’s SN (Serial Number) to the Sunmi support team and ask for the debug code. It may take up to 24 hours to receive a 4 digits code.
SN can be read from the back of the device.
Step 2: Go to ‘Settings’-> ‘About device’
Step 3: Click the menu item ‘TUSN’ 8 times
Step 4: A dialog will pop up to input the debug code.
Step 5: Input the received debug code, and the device will be turned into debug mode.
Note: Please make sure the device is online.
Debug mode devices will always have a ‘RED CIRCLE’ in the backgroud.
Now you can connect the device to your host machine and enjoy the debugging.
Note: For the P2 LITE SE and P2 A11, you must the follow these steps-
Settings > About Tablet > SV version tap this x8 times.
