How To Clear The Lock Screen PIN / Password

When a user has set a Lock Screen PIN / Password on a device and you need to clear the PIN / Password (user forgot the PIN / Password, PIN / Password was added without authorization, etc.), use the following steps to clear the PIN / Password and return the device to normal operations.

Available on devices:

  • With Premium MDM licenses.

  • With Pay-as-you-go MDM licenses for “Clear Password”.

  • With one of a user’s 2 free MDM licenses assigned.

 Instructions

Open the Sunmi MDM in your web browser: https://partner.sunmi.com

  1. Use the menu on the left to browse to: VAS >> Remote Management.

  2. Locate the device by scrolling the list or searching by the device Serial Number.

  3. In the Actions column, click MORE.

  4. In the menu, click Clear Password.

Results: Completing these steps will clear the Lock Screen PIN / Password within the following few minutes.
