How to use the Remote ADB feature with MacBook

This article demonstrates how to use the Remote ADB feature provided through MDM to access a device remotely by running ADB commands.

 

Prerequisite

 

 Instructions

  1. Logon to MDM and go to Remote Management.

  2. Find the device you need to operate and move the mouse to the action menu → ‘Remote ADB’

  3. The system pops up a guide window.

  4. Based on your PC’s system, download the right client tool, and save it to a local folder. The following example we’ll use MacOS’s adb client.

  5. Click ‘Mac Download’ to download the adb client for Macbook. And save it to, for example: Tools\SunmiADB\adb

  6. You might need to run the command to change this ‘adb’ file’s permission by running the command: chmod 755 xxxx

  7. Your MacOS may not allow to run the app downloaded from other sources. If that’s the case, you can change it from the Privacy&Security

  8. Click ‘Getting Started’ to generate the code.

     

  9. Copy the Verification code and run the command:

    adb sunmi_connect GICVQ60Q

     

  10. Connected successful, and then you can run ./adb shell to enter the shell of the remote device.
